The Dems won in 2018 because Trump wasn’t on the ticket and in 2020 because of Covid and more voters in urban areas and metropolitan areas turned out. Trump and MAGA still has the rural voters on lock, who come out in unprecedented numbers when Trump is on the ticket. It will be interesting to see how many rural voters come out in 2028 when he’s not on the ticket.
