This is really another shytty sign regarding the rule of law in Mexico - if they really did it cause Biden asked them to, it suggests they could have done it long before, but they simply aren't enforcing the laws against the most powerful criminals.

These dudes raking in hundreds of millions..they could bankroll a politician whole campaign with ease.
Not just politicians, pay off enormous quantities of law enforcement and scare the shyt out of the rest by having as much armament as a Central American militia. Half the officers are under their thumb and the other half are frightened to go up against all the shooters.
