I gotta get better at the googles. I heard about Alpo and Gangsta Lou checking/chasing Jim through harlem, but didn't realize that Alpo spoke about his interaction with Jim directly. Jim seems like a good dude that just talks tough too much. Him admitting that Farrakhan checked him was hilarious. He didn't even need to admit that because Farrakhan wasn't going to say anything.

He's proof that the crack era ruined a lot of talent. He had more swag than most actors and rappers. Nowadays someone like that wouldn't become a drug dealer.
Even in his last years, he could have made 6 figures a year from podcasting etc but he wanted to go back to selling drugs.
