Tribalism is a word that means nothing in this context. And Africa's various problems vary from country to country, open up books on history, anthropology and geopolitics instead of using these buzzwords.

Cry about it. I'm second gen African immigrant, this is not unique to Africans its how colonization has worked on every continent. People don't value things unless they have a reason to. How many museums were built in Africa by Africans and not Europeans? History in the west has a greater monetary value than elsewhere. Like I said, it's a sad truth..

The same thing fuels gentrification in America. The same houses that got sold for cheap in the mid 90's got flipped for millions 20 years later because of the new owners had the policies, capital and networks to exploit them.
