I think Kobe doesn't want to take a backseat like his peers( Garnett, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, t-mac, Allen Iverson, rasheed, shaq, Kidd, etc). I always felt that his worst fear was having to accept playing the game as a role player.:ld:

The fact that he's no longer that dude is killing him worse than the team losses or the fact that he'll never get that 6th ring to tie mj.:francis:

Kobe's game would look a lot better at age 37 without these injuries he has suffered the past few years. But them along with the already bad knees he has is enough for any player to look as bad as he does right now. Injuries is what slowed Kobe down not old age or his game falling off.

Breh... Its tough. How do you abandon a philosophy that has previously garnered you great success ?

When you are no longer able to adhere to it and you are extremely intelligent, skilled, and versatile. He didn't play the same way at 32 that he did at 22.

He's 37. You had to wait until age 37 to get your hits in and say you were right about Kobe. 99.9999% of players are retired by then homie. Ain't nobody gonna come back right from multiple injuries when they're damn near 40. Takes nothing away from his career. He just needs to hang it up.

Not sure what any of this has to do with my post.

It's hilarious how folks keep talking about injuries and age like injuries and age are making this nikka keep shooting all these shots that he's missing. No he is choosing to play like this and age and injuries are not allowing him to compensate for it like he used to. His body breaking down isn't his fault. His refusal to adjust is.

Yep. The same people using the mileage excuses for him now were the ones crying about the ESPN rankings. Same ones who were predicting big things out of him this year because he'd be rested and injury free.

stop acting like your watching the games. Dude takes alot of ill-advised shots but he's missing easier ones too. Like wide open shots.

Even though you're clearly throwing all this salt and shade right here

Have fun bashing Kobe. You just had to wait until he was 37 to do it.

And everybody gets old and flabby. Can't wait to see Lebron at 37. If he makes it that long. I'm sure you think he's gonna be different though :jbhmm:

Kobe was a really good player until the age of 34, and anyone who watched basketball knows by then (really by age 30) his game had already aged nicely and he became a deadly mid-range shooter. Kobe didn't need a lot of explosion to get his...now when you factor in a torn Achilles, a torn rotator cuff, and fractured knee-cap..I mean is it really necessary to criticize a player's game when he has suffered those injuries and has historical mileage? I just don't see what you dudes get out of kicking a legend down when he is clearly at the end of his career. I could understand if dude was in his prime or anywhere near it, but he's in his 20th season coming back from 3 season enders. He's already won the rings, scored the points, established himself as one if the greats, etc...you cant rewrite history. you cant just say he never had a fade-away, or he wasnt one of the most skilled players ever just because he playing bad this season. like wtf type of logic is that? because he playin bad this year, that means his game hadn't aged well by age 32? its silly. it seems like dudes been just praying for this day forever man.
End thread. Kobe is the only player in NBA history to average 25ppg+ in their 17th season

Damn......its like watching your dad get beat up. Watching him dominating all these years and its at a point where I swear I think I could give him a tough game (obviously not but I'm just saying it for effect.)
