When he started struggling going into the second half of last yr I knew that some trends had emerged in his game that wouldn't just go away

-tendency to be negative on himself when his shot isn't falling

-inconsistent jumper

-low BBIQ

-awkward athlete...meaning he flails or falls with little to no contact from the opposing player

IDK what the emphasis was to lock him up long term on a big contract...I'd rather have Prince or Thabo start at the 3 from here on out. I know Bud is considering it, he has to at this point

Beal was never really in play for us plus he's got minutes restrictions that he'll have for the rest of his career. But if we could've gotten him I would've taken him over Bazemore in a heartbeat

Maybe this was obvious to everybody else but when we went into FA last off season and Baze was getting big contract offers I feel like we panicked. Meaning we thought we might lose Baze and weren't really getting FAs to consider us so we overspent to keep a player who, like you said, has a bench player's impact. I know the team has to be disappointed that Baze hasn't taken the next step in his career that they thought he would...i was hoping he'd be a 15ppg + a night guy, improved BBIQ, smarter on defense type of player. None of that has happened and I doubt it will.

I just wonder what Bud is gonna do...this is the team that he wanted and the players he wanted and guys like Baze look awful

Edy moves better than him, he don't move out of the paint, last one down the floor. his transition defense and offense is bad, his shooting is terrible, can't shoot FT, can not pass the rock, stupid as fukk.
