It's tough, no team seems to want to give a RB a second contract, preferring to just draft new ones. The Josh Jacobs one is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, what can they do? All the top RBs sit out in a show of protest? Not likely... I want them to get paid because RB is the only position that gets hit every single snap but I don't see an easy solution to this

The wild part about this is they're still cool with overpaying Daniel Jones or Ryan Tannehill or Kirk Cousins vs paying an actual proven elite RB more than $12 million per year. Jimmy G on his 4th big ass contract and about to have Raider fans punching the air during the season.

It's all bullshyt. It's not actually justifiable. Kyler Murray had to do a press campaign to get the Cardinals to remove a COD clause and still got paid.

How many games are those RBs going to win compared to those QBs? Tannehill and Cousins actually had some good years. Henry is really the only exception. QBs will always be overvalued in the NFL. You can see how far an offense falls off from a starter to a backup

they are moving away from the trenches & the hand to hand warfare that the sport was a proxy for

the rb is losing value because the rb is maybe the only position that takes away from the perception of the qb(coach by proxy) as alpha & omega

same concept as to why they still resist dominant athletes as qb's

they don't want anything that implies that the coaches intelligence is not responsible for all success

when a player makes shyte happen off natural talent they can't take credit or chalk it up to x's & o's

the pro style qb is the icon of the coaches authority

the rb & the running.qb in a sense represent raw uncoachable talent
