They USED the sacrifices of the civil rights era to get a foot in this country and create a life for themselves. Not even a generation later, 50% of them helped elect a white supremacist for president who is now systematically destroying the sacrifices of those ancestors.
This is a betrayal that should not be forgotten by any conscious black American

People saw/heard/read all that, and voted for him anyway. And he's publicly humiliated members of every community who publicly backed him within 6 months of his 2nd term.
In this case, people of recent foreign heritage know about coups and dictators from parents or personal experience. They saw Trump refuse to concede that he LOST, and back the Jan. 6th coup d'etat attempt.
Voted for him anyway. And with a straight face, thought that a man who doesnt respect the U.S. Constitution would honor campaign promises to them.
