he's just stating the reality of how the world systems are designed. it's not a personal statement or a statement of support for it. hes's not a white supremacist he's a lecturer

the tone was intentional

My mistake. "Africa has a role as natural resource producer. We will not allow Africa to escape that." Certainly you can see how that can be taken out of context.

NO, africa's problem is western meddling.

shut.the.fukk. up.

go read a book.

we were all fine before1400s for thousands of years.

cacs are africa's root problem.

Tribalism is what allowed the Europeans to take over dumbass.

Stop getting in your feelings and learn your own damn history dummy.

gentlemen, you're actually both right. what we have to keep in mind is that africa is the only continent that's been in a constant state of warfare for thousands of years. part of our pattern has been for a segment of our people to run when trouble came, which deals with the dispersion throughout the continent which is where alotta of the ethnic and tribal differences come in. but i have a homeboy who is well-read on the origins and history of the different peoples throughout the continent and can point to common origins for the different groupings.

the problem with us is that when the white man came we weren't prepared. even with the knowledge we had developed about the crakkka/foreigner - and we knew about them as far back as ancient kemet - we still hadn't worked to develop a system to deal with foreign invaders that we were able to codify and put into widespread use. i'm sure you've both read Chancellor William's 'Destruction of Black Civilization' so you should both remember the example of the Mossi.

why hasn't that example been replicated and perpetuated through the ages? Dr. Clarke says that's what Shaka was doing, but I believe that by then it was too late. when you're constantly running, rebuilding, running, etc. you don't have the time and stable society needed to study your past so you can effectively deal with the present and codify for the future.

our last real chance to meet the white man on close to even terms was during the Punic Wars, and unfortunately they were lost before they were even fought. but we still haven't taken the lessons from that conflict and codified them into any kinda policy for our people, which is why even today "western meddling" is able to exploit "tribalism" the world over and keep Black people in a hellish state.

always remember, nobody is more "tribal" than white people. early greek, roman, european, and american history, from the smallest conflict to the World Wars, are all white people being tribal with one another. even today there are white people killing their fellow whites by the thousands behind ethnic/religious - tribal - differences. the only thing stopping them from tearing each other apart is they have us to focus on.

Tribalism is inherent and paramount to the structure of early societies (most places have tribes) and it had a play but, it's not the leading factor that contributed the problems of that area.

Stop the tribalism in Africa.

That's Africa main problem.

They have to fix themselves before anyone else can help them.

And government corruptions. Those on top want to stay in power forever. They only care about themselves and folks within their circle. They don't gaf about the general population.

We need to cut out the corruption first, there's no other way regardless of what the white man says. Our voting populace is represented by the corrupt politicians which means that we as citizens are also not entirely honest, and in African countries you have to understand that even in dictatorial regimes, there are groups of people that still side with the tyrant. It's never been 99 vs 1. If political leaders were our only problem, how then are public universities, hospitals, schools rotting due to internal corruption with little political interference.

Lone civil servants benefit from the corruption industry, and these are people whom we admire for their wealth in our societies, calling them "bigman", "boss" and so forth. I don't expect the white man nor the chinese to have solutions to our problems, that's like being bitten by a snake twice, and going to it the third time hoping that it gives you the antidote.

As an African, I think it's time we stop blaming "them" for our situation. Most of the problems we face are caused by corrupt leaders who lack integrity.
