Keep in mind I grew up watching Tom & Jerry, Woody Woodpecker, Popeye, Mighty Mouse, Underdog, Looney Tunes, etc.​

ALL of them got cancelled.

This show was disturbing as hell! In defense though, I believe it came on Saturday nights during Nickelodeon's "Snick" programming block that was geared towards older children and teens. I remember watching that shyt as a child in the 90s.

They need to slap on some disclaimers with a conversation around cultural context and keep it pushing. Kids aren’t these hard wired creatures that can’t be sat down and have things explained to them, hiding things from them just seems stupid.


It feels somewhat silly to compare editing out gotdamn cartoons to real life struggles and education


BUT the point is there. .. to erase, revise and make pretend things in history weren’t actually the way they were is at the root of a LOT of our current social issues.
