Oh, yeah. Two things can be true. It's a great opportunity for economic expansion on the continent, at the same time China will benefit massively from it.
With open borders the need for maintenance and expansion of those projects is gonna explode.
one reason there's so many wars in Africa is because the borders where drawn up dividing African tribal groups. Before Independence Botswana's capital was in South Africa. They moved it when they drew the border the country is called Botswana After the Twana people who are the vast majority in Botswana but the majority of Tswana live in South Africa.

I don't disagree but there's several "countries" in Africa that cannot stand on their own. South Sudan broke away from Sudan but uses it's port to sell their oil and everyone thought that South Sudan would break up and fail but Sudan is failing.Oh, yeah. Two things can be true. That would seem to make your point but in South Sudan other than some small scale farming and cattle production and the oil anyone looking for a job up until the war started needed to look for a job in Sudan or elsewhere.
My first apartment was filled with South Sudanese teenagers going to school in Nairobi because there wasn\t decent schools in South Sudan/
South Sudan is a "country" but no real economy no real schools no real hospitals millions of South Sudanese have to live abroad because there's nothing in South Sudan for them.
Kenya and Tanzania was supposed to be one country. Kenyatta backdoored Nyrere. Had it been one country or even Uganda Kenya Tanzania be a super country using Kenyan legal and business model it would be where Nigeria is now. especially since the infratstructure was already connected.
Ugandans, rwandans and kenyans can travel between each country no visa no passport even needed.

Rwanda made it visa free for all Africans last year and Nigerians have popped up like never before starting up their typical scamming and sex trafficking
