We need to get over ourselves? for the longest period of time, black women go missing and murdered and raped and none of us get to bring up or tell our stories for fear of not belived or being silenced with 'now is not the time'. Really, when is it going to be the time? When another black women gets murdered or raped or comes up missing or god help her all three? Blm movement was built on the backs of black women, and men (cause its not everybody) like you cant even acknowledge what we go through and alot of black women go through trauma because of that.
And those who spoke out about it, which was an majority in this thread and listened, thank you. When I was on here, I was told that I had to choose between my race and ne being an woman. Thank you for proving that was wrong. Thank you for showing that yall been doing emotional work.
I don't know if you are emotional right now and it's messing with your comprehension, so I'll try to restrain myself and be nice.
If you are part of the group my post was addressed to, if you are jealous and insecure? Yes, you need to get over yourselves. Absolutely. 100%. Oui. Certainment.
Frankly, you and the idiots who dapped your post need to take remedial reading comprehension classes. Point to where in my post I invalidate BW struggles. Point to where I say BW need to be silent. Point to where I said BW stories should not be brought up. You are seeing things I never fukking posted. You are accusing me of sentiments I don't share.
Let me give you a synopsis of what was written since you currently lack the comprehension ability:
I pointed out the reason why George Floyd and Ahmaud's situation blew up more.
Extensive Video Evidence. Particularly, George Floyd's case. It was rather heinous watching someone die while bystanders are begging and screaming. It was clear cut, fukking 4k. Coupled with people not working due to Quarantines, it was the perfect storm.
Secondly, I pointed out that Breonna Taylor's name has been repeatedly popping up, that protests occurred because of it and that change in laws, which is admittedly not nearly enough, has happened. So much so that the law is named after her.
Finally, I pointed out that there is a section of Black People who are, frankly,
jealous and insecure that a Straight Black Man's murder is getting so much attention as a catalyst for change.
More vulnerable people should speak out as much as they can, those more privileged should help boost their voices as well.
Jealousy, Insecurity, Divisiveness? Over someone's fukking murder? fukk that. I'll call that out everyday.
I don't think you are part of people I was addressing, I do think you got emotional and read in more than what was actually there. Maybe you've heard similar sentiments by bad faith actors? You attached attributes to the post that didn't exist. I wasn't dogwhistling either, I agree with you.
Black People everywhere are hurting.
