Why do you guys assume that's about Obama? That could be about literally every president that came before Trump. Both Bush's went to war in the middle east for questionable reasons. We had well packaged war crimes under Clinton. There was so much fukkery under Reagan that it's almost laughable. That was a general statement that about not going back to the status quo of well spoken, likable politicians getting away with heinous acts behind the scenes.

Because she said his name. I took offense when the republicans were saying some of these new folks don't know what the job entails but now after seeing this woman in action. I cant say I disagree.
Even if she believes what she is saying you don't put that shyt on record. Especially if you have any hopes whatsoever of having a productive career in politics.

and he's not lying. somali-americans like most minority americans are viewing the world as it is and in america that's a two party system and they are trying to get in where they fit in. and basically being muslim is their #1 characteristic so they ask a simple question and it's not who loves us, it's who hates us the least? but you know they aren't fukkin with social liberalism. the far left want things socially they want no part of and the far right wants their muslim asses all the way the fukk outta here.
the democrats have a mishmash of people with different priorities, so when she says the base is bigger that's not exactly true. the democrats might represent a larger portion of the american population, but it's not a coherent base like the republican base. e.g., a lot of the gays who vote are just concerned about the social liberalism because that's a means to an end, but they are more fiscally conservative or at best moderate. a lot naturalized voters might care about the immigration issue, but they are more likely to be socially conservative and fiscally conservative or moderate at best. black americans might appreciate a more robust federal govt because of the history of states rights, but can be quite conservative on some social issues and probably wouldn't have objected greatly to the federal govt not butting in when a state wants to ban trans people from a bathroom. and let's not even start on the minority of whites who vote democrat. you're naive if you think there is a one size fits all strategy for keeping this voting bloc together.
That type of talk is cool the left wing person on the street to spew but if you in congress and your job is to work with others in your party you keep that shyt in your pocket. Cause now when folks hear your name they either thinking Oh that's the anti jew lady or the Obama equals Trump lady. And people can't work with you without catching some of the stink. Her own constituents are like damn pump your brakes, we need you to get some laws passed not just shyt talking everyone.

The idea that Ilahn Omar or any other congresspersons job is to just work with others in their party is so backwards and is directly responsible for the shytty state of affairs in America. Her job is to represent her constituents and push forward policies and ideas that will make the United States a better, more just actor.
She’s taking dead aim at the bullshyt and doesn’t care who gets caught in the crossfire. She’s a fukking warrior. If you don’t want to get hit, get the fukk outta the way.

What good is getting a law passed if you're adhering to a status quo that your campaign was built on challenging though? This shouldn't be a shocker; she ran on DACA, Student Loan Forgiveness, a living wage, abolish ICE and universal healthcare. She's been openly critical of human rights violations globally not just in Israel's case but also Saudi Arabia with Yemen for another example. None of that is of interest to the people that she's offending right now and playing nice with them wouldn't help accomplish any of that. She can try to apply pressure or she can play nice and get her name on some bills that half-ass it and leave her constituents looking at her the same way she's looking at Obama in those quotes: "she argues that the Democratic president operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor." That line specifically.
