The reality is, for the majority of this thread we've all been in here defending her for the blatant racism and bigotry being deployed. But that's where the defense should stop, in my opinion. I'm not sure I'd ever view her as trustworthy as I once did at this point.
That said, she isn't in my district. So if they're happy. It's whatever. Just don't need her as the face of the party.

Well, Omar and Tlaib are icons. They're the first Muslim women to be elected to Congress. For that community (also the Somali and Palestinian communities respectively), their successes and failures will likely carry more weight. Since you're black, I know you understand the burden that comes with being the first -- even if you personally never carried that weight.
