So stubborn, in fact, Thibodeau still hasn't signed the four-year, $17.5 million-plus contract extension that Bulls commemorated with an Oct. 1 news conference.

"The deal's done," Thibodeau told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday night. Nevertheless, he wouldn't acknowledge that it had been signed because that still hasn't happened, several sources with direct knowledge of the contract told Y! Sports.

This is how Thibodeau operates, part of his maddening genius. He wears everyone down until he gets everything he wants – front offices, players, and often opponents too.

Clearly not a thibs type of player

Imo he holding out to show the front office up for not giving him the roster he wants.

Won't be surprised if thibs hold out to see what gar pax does this off season before he signs on and I can't blame him for doing that.

Yeah, he probably was looking at what they were doing with the roster and wasn't pleased at all.

You throw in your Superstar not coming back to play right now in the equation and he's probably wondering what's good with the franchise going forward. They really lost a ton of flexibility when they let Asik walk.

First time ive heard of a coach not sigining extension that he agreed too. I hope the Bulls dont fukk around and lose Thibs. But maybe he is thinking about the potential Clippers job that may open up if they flop in the playoffs and Vinny is fired. I could even see someone like Scott Brooks potentially fired if they went to the Finals and lost again.
