I'm depressed:

"shyt is crazy. I got what people would consider a great job, make almost 6 figures, got a nice car, stay in a nice place, got the latest of a lot of stuff, no kids, etc."

^^Maybe because you look to those things to make you happy...another sucka caught in the trap by the best business ever created: America :mjlol:

shyt never fails....another one bites the dust :laff:

Thats because none of those things mean shyt in the long run bruh. Its crazy but the things that will make you happiest in your life are not physical -- love, passion, purpose, freindship, faith... Thats where you need to look. Those are the gifts that never stop giving, all that other shyt just provides the temporary feeling of happiness, it never lasts.

I damn sure havent found mine but if you find a purpose, thats all you will ever need.

It gives people something to look forward to after a long ass day of work breh

Not the only hobby but shyt....binge watching can help take a persons mind off a depression...its called escapism
Escapism is great for relieving stress but is unhealthy in this context and could possibly cause an addiction. This is why some people get fat, or become substance abusers. They just start consuming to pacify serious issues that they need to address.

Hobbies where he is being productive and building relationships would be better.

I don't know bruh. I've spent most of my life chasing money and a title smh. Thanks for the responses though bruhs
Hopefully, you've realized that most things that we do in life don't matter (something that the average person doesn't want to admit because of how depressing a thought it is). Think about all the people who've passed away and how they just fade away eventually. The only thing that really matters is what you do for the people that will be here after you.

Real thread. No bragging, just stating facts because I can't really understand why I'm not enjoying the fukk out of life.

shyt is crazy. I got what people would consider a great job, make almost 6 figures, got a nice car, stay in a nice place, got the latest of a lot of stuff, no kids, etc...

But I'm never really happy. Every day its like I'm just going through the motions. Get up in the morning, go to a place I don't really like (I'm the lone black dude in the department, the one sister is on some c00n shyt and the other blacks at the company are old), eventually come home, and just rinse, wash, and repeat. It's to the point where most of my happiness come from watching the Hawks win (please don't laugh :mjcry:).

Like I've literally been thinking to myself trying to figure this shyt out but I just don't understand it :wtf:. Guess I'm trying to ask y'all how are y'all finding happiness in this world?

I've been thinking about getting back into the church maybe...

Do you have friends and family breh

You got to get hobbies

Video games
Movies
TV shows
Gym
Walking the track
fukking hoes
Partying
Get a wifey
Take weekend trips
Beaches

I literally do 90% of that and I still feel like the OP. Same ol', same ol'. Day in, day out.

Depending on your age, how long you've been in the same area/job and your social circle... things can become stale. 7 year itch type shyt. Like other posters have mentioned, a lot of people go through something similar.

I honestly believe it's a maturation point. We all have to evolve over our lifespans and the OP has come to a point in theirs where they are unsatisfied and/or ready for change.
