Thats the one i'm lookin to get. How you like the screen? Does it get hot? Is the fan loud? Theres no lag right?
All the reviews i read kinda shyt on the screen resolution. One review said that apple might be adding a retina Air next year.
love everything about this computer...i switched from a 2010 macbook pro. The only thing i am regretting is cheaping out and not getting more ram and more ssd space.
But then again the cost was way too high for those upgrades...but the convenient factor, the looks i get while using it, the fact that i can take my laptop everywhere for a whole day and not have to worry about battery life is just one of many reasons why i really like the computer.
As for your question, Macs get hot, it's typical. Though it only does if you're using it for a very long time, but the hardware is optimized for this. The fan knows what to do. Although it is EXTREMELY quiet. I haven't heard the fans make noise ONCE, and i've had it for a month now.
Compared to the 2010 macbook pro's screen. They are identical. I have noticed no difference whatsoever. Maybe tech-saavy people can, but for me the loss in 2inch of screen is no big deal. It has never been a big deal. The websites still look the same, i can still watch videos without any issues.
For a small computer, it is very powerful. Computer starts in less than 10 seconds. All programs take literally seconds to open up. I have installed photoshop which uses a lot of computer power, yet it barely slows down the computer. Normally i have few apps open at a time (chrome, itunes, word) and it doesn't lag at all. Though due to the 4gb of ram, i find myself restarting and turning off the computer more than i did with my macbook pro. But then there are payoffs to going smaller.
There are rumours that a 12 inch retina one will be out next year, you can wait for that one. I have no regrets of buying this air.
