I'm copping that 13'' Retina Pro

Facts. They do have good ass resale value.This. Plus they have crazy resale value. I sold my 2010 macbook pro for $450 before getting the air. It was a calculated move. I got 50% value of the original price i paid after using it for 3 years. But the performance was the same. And i still was getting 2 - 3 hours of battery life without plugging.
They look AIGHT, but in a year they'll look kinda outdated. Good thing about mac's is that its all aluminum & they look the same for the most part. The Air just looks better than all the other ultrabooks.I beg to differ. HP Envy, Sony VAIO, etc. all look pretty sleek. I really think you should reconsider unless your draw is only battery life (in which case yes, it is the go-to). There are capable Windows ultrabooks that I think can fit the bill.
Windows rot, annoying for me as well, but avoidable. I'm using portable installs for most programs I give no fukks on and I'm running like greased lightning on both 7 and 8 even after a year+ of usage.
Plus easier interoperability, no excessive logo premium, and far greater hardware compatibility.
I'ma just try something different & see how I like it. I need something 11.6" n/h, plus the Air is thin & light as hell.Just get the Retina Pro that came out
More bang for buck

i want the new one...Brand new or last years model?
i want the new one...
Also, whats good w/ that Applecare? If my air breaks 2 years down the road, do they give me a brand new/current one as a replacement?
Not sure how good Applecare is. I've never had a problem or broke any of my laptops.
If you're buy brand new get the 128gb storage and upgrade the ram to 8gb and processor. usb 3.0 is fast as hell so internal storage ain't crucial. (I'm booted from a 1tb external right now). Make sure you get a hard shell cover, screen protector and keyboard skin too.

I got a really nice shock-proof cover from amazon and a screen protector as well. The hard shell cover is overdoing it IMO. It just takes the design away from the air. BTW this thing is really light. And i'm not too fond of the keyboard skin either.
Its not that much bigger lol

didnt know the difference in size was so small. I'ma go the an Apple store and compare them side by side. Good looksNah Applecare is a support agreement (their support is paid support, Applecare makes it free), and extends the warranty to 2 yearsi want the new one...
