was talking to a bunch of oldheads in the gym earlier (you get a lot of knowledge from that sometimes) and one dude used to be a personal trainer.

My stepdad was one and I always said that I would do it one day just as a side hustle.

Then I thought why not? Im gonna be in school soon full time anyway, why not get certified and paid on some side hustle shyt. I been working out for like 15 years... Everything he knew I already knew about as well just from talking to him.

I been training people for free for years anyway and my homie already opened his own gym with less experience. Plus with my boxing history and my military history I have a long time of working out, training, and being trained by professionals.

fukk it... If i just clean up my trash ass diet and lose a lil weight i'll be looking like baby Rock again within 6 months. You dont even need to look crazy to be one though

Any brehs/brehettes Personal trainers in here? How long did it take just to get a cert? I just wanna get something that says that i know wtf im talking about.

I know some people got whole degrees and complex certs but them cats do that shyt for a living. I just wanna get something that says Im certified in like 6 months or less

I know a few people who do it but I’ve never done it. Most people ask me about is my fight style when they see me shadow box or work on the bag at the gym. You should research diets though, the workout and judging a person’s physician abilities are the easier part of the two but the thing that will make your clients really love you is if you give them a nutritional diet that works for them.

I’m hoping by the end of this 8 week challenge I’m in, I’ll have all the tools to train someone on the low or just as a friendly gesture.

Yes brethren Ive already thought about all of this.

I actually thought about it when i was younger

Talking to the guy at the gym yesterday we already knew what it was... Diet is 80% of the journey. So you had to have studied up on diets or attempted to be a dietician in order to become a good trainer in my mind... I like to go by body types though. I got to see what they are good at, not good at, etc before I go into the whole "diet" phase. But yeah, if my job is just to piss you off and motivate you to not be a fat ass... Im your guy

But i can get them in shape. Imo, i can get anyone in shape but im not gonna force you to show up... But gettin in great shape and having me hound you all day costs a lil bit extra

Like a bruh above said get a nasm, ace, or scam certification because they're nationally certified. I got mine thru Issa which isn't bad or won't keep you from being hired but most gyms or employers prefer those. If you're just training on your own then people aren't gonna give a fukk who you're with. Some people don't even care if your Certified because personal training isn't licensed like a ot or physical therapist is. You can go to seminars to get your cert or you can pay to take it online. A lot of places give you a long ass time to complete it. It took me 3 months to complete but that's with reading the book and I was undergrad at the time, it will probably take you nowhere near that long if you not distracted. You're supposed to make anywhere between 20-50 a session but a lot of gyms lowball with the pay so be careful. If you train at a gym they'll cover you under their PT insurance but insurance for yourself should be $100 for the year or around there and not much more. Good luck cuzzo :salute:
