Take a ccw class, that'll run you about 70-200 bones

Acquire your ccw license

Look for a glock on armslist, you can find something decent between 400-600

Are longer guns easier to control? Like an ak47 pistol

No. Rifle rounds have heavier powders behind them and are designed to be shot from long barrels. If the barrel is too short the powder doesn't get to fully burn off and has a much greater recoil because of this.

Any thing I need to know before I make that move?

Like what brand? Caliber? Laws?

I'm thinking of getting a glock 40 and getting a extended clip too :noah:

Also thinking about getting a stick. :jbhmm:

It's all gonna be legal and everything:whoa:
I had an Glock 40 with hollow points when I was on Florida. Very good gun. Easy to take apart and clean. I had to give it up when I came back to Buffalo NY, Because the gun laws are much stricted here. I have a Smith & Wessen 38 snubnose now.

I wish I can get a 45 smith and wesson :noah: but if i use it to kill a burglar in my house they'll put me in jail :francis: or they'll grill me to see if I intentionally murdered him

And I found some tactical training classes in my area. I'm gonna take one once it warms up.

If you're getting one for conceal, the length of the barrel isn't what's hard to hide. It's the grip. No need to get a micro pistol unless you just like the way they shoot. Longer barrels will be more accurate due to their longer sight radius and expansion from hollow tips will be more reliable due to the greater velocity they offer. With sub compacts, to get reliable expansion you may need to feed them +P ammo which in turn will be harder to have accurate follow up shots (+P 9mm is still easy to control). If you're carrying in public you definitely have to worry about hitting innocent people so recoil management is one of the more important aspects you should consider.
