not really. the 996 is the least reliable 911 considering it was the first gen of the water cooled engines. A lot of those have ims bearing failures which required a full engine replacement and it usually failed out of warranty (unless it's the turbo model). There're reasons why they're the cheapest 911s you can find on the market. Ask me how I know.

Its what im concerned about but I thought they improved on that issue by the '02+ 996s no?

Im thinking of getting a carrera 996:patrice:

Audi (A8 :noah:) > Lexis > BMW > Mercedes

BMW probably has the best service out of the bunch, until that warranty is up that is

In what capacity is Lexus better than bmw? Serious question... Reliability?

Honestly can't think of anything else. IS350 felt very boring and slow when I drove it. Which models would you say are better than BMWs comparable models ?

In this day and time I feel like reliability issues are somewhat a moot point. All brands will have cars that are lemons or will have issues. As long as you take care of your car you'll be fine. The only difference is the price of parts/service. And if you're buying a new car you shouldn't have to worry about that for a few years no matter what brand.

of course if you take care of the car it will be fine. BUT how much will it cost to take care of it and how often will you have to "take care of it".

you say there will be lemons but then you go on to say you shouldn't have to worry about parts/service for a few years?

:whoa: just personal preference breh. GS or LS is where the competition starts if i had to pick one. I can see them being interchangeable though (Lexus/BMW)

word? like the current model IS, GS, ES, and LS don't have the same "hourglass" shaped front grille. :mjpls:

not to mention the new ES is constantly mistaken for the 2014 Toyota Avalon. (I know they're owned by the same company, but seriously?)
