Tired of slaving at a factory and im looking to have a legit career. Plumbers live pretty decent from what I know.

Go for it breh. If you're in a state with Unions look into apprenticeships with them too. If you're just checking out careers look into HVAC, Welding, or getting a CDL

Do not go to a trade school to be a plumber, residential/service plumbers don’t make shyt compared to union plumbers. Not saying they don’t make a good living but you’ll make way more money being apart of a union.

don’t know where you at OP but in most Midwest and East cities union plumbers pulling $40+ an hour.

Become a plumber...

do a free inspection and free changing of pipes for a black person in a neighborhood

then go to all of the neighbors and say “hey I don’t know if you know of this but the (insert black family) was having some plumbing issues and it turns out their pipes were on the verge of cracking. I saved them about (insert insane amount of money) because they were a few months away from a catastrophe. I’m doing all of the free inspections in this area to make sure we don’t have a pipe burst, when can I schedule yours?”


You’ll make 10s of thousands in a 1 mile radius selling people new plumbing that they may not need

Look up the local pipefitters union in your area , you might want to get a job with a local plumber in your area if you are black but don't let that stop you
Go down to the union office with your birth certificate, drivers license and something with your name on it from the post office to verify your address and good luck . They will sign you up and you might have to take a test.

I will say this. Plumbing is probably the easiest and most cost-efficient do-it-yourself thing a man can do.

People pay hundreds to get their sinks rodded, all because of a chunk of chicken grease that is trapped about 2 feet inside their pipes.

All it takes is a $15 rod and 5 minutes of turning a handle.
