Thinking of buying this benz... thoughts?

Audi's In general to me are problematic. The DI (direct injection) Engines have a carbon problem, DRC suspension problems, oil consumption on the V8 engines,ABs, power steering, control arms, timing chain tensionners (v8) S4. Transmission on Automatics. etc...I went thru most german cars and they are by far the biggest PITA. If you want torque you can also look at the E55/E63 benz they are cheaper than the c63 pull like freight trains. Or go E39 M5 like I did

Yea the E55 is dope but looks dated to me. I can't afford an E63. E39 M5 is starting to show its age as well, but that was my dream car for the longeeeest tiiiimee.

i cant wait to get an s4. i shouldve waited instead of getting this 08 a4.

Audi's are known for problems since the beginning of time... I have had audi drivers tell me that themselves.. They are good cars still..have nothing on BMW warranties though $0 out of pocket expenses

Customer reviews for someone who owns a car for teh first 24-12 months should be great. I judge reliability when a car is 4-5yrs old and over 40k miles. I do not have any loyalty to any specific care brand (as you can see with my recomemdations). I have had Audis, Benzes, Porsche, BMW VW SAAB Volvos and in my opinion for a company who is suppose to challenge BMW and Mercedes Audi falls short. The look great, have lots of technology, interior is best in class but. after a couple of years chances are you will pay dearly or end up trading it in and be upside on your loan.

I'd definitely consign the OP that Audis will cost you a hefty penny to maintain. Better off with a Merc. They hold value better than BMW overall.

I'm about to pick up a 2011 335i coupe. That benz was dope but 450 hp is actually too much, if you can believe that. The BMW was perfectly balanced.
