No seriously it doesn't really surprise me as I guess it might be more of an anglo-saxon way of thinking. I've never heard anyone mention it in Europe, work organizations would go crazy if it were suggested. Is it your job that does or some medical staff? I think over here only police can, or medical staff if something happens to you obviously.

weed, benzodiazepines, methanphetomines, opiates, coke, etc
some jobs are required drug testing. every job i’ve had working with certified military approved parts has had a requirement of drug testing.
American problems

most jobs don’t require piss tests. and if they do they’re usually random and or free a reason; you get hurt on the job or make a mistake that causes someone else to get hurt
but most construction jobs do, esp Union. and military jobs or jobs if you produce products for the military or gov

Yeah I mean these kind of jobs with high stakes makes sense I guess...was more surprised at random, I don't know, accounting jobs at some firm requiring drug tests
