most truckers do drugs just to stay awake and deal with the boringness of the road- also if u think a 9 to 5 is boring a trcuker is worse and makes less (than me at least)

but then again, if you one of those types that never minded long drives it mite be for you. I;d rather be trapped in this cubicle than a trucking job. I hate spending 30 mins in traffic on my way home, couldnt imagine the job being that

It's better than what I'm doing now - working at circle k and pays a lot more. Plus u don't have to do long trips there are local and regional jobs

-Hourly (most people fall into this category, basically you trade time for money)

-Salary (middle management and upper management fall into this category. doesn't matter how many hours you work - can be better than hourly or be a nightmare)

-Business Owner (Working for self, money relies on your own business - still A LOT of work)

-Investor (the EASIEST route to take, takes smarts and some money. Doesn't take a lot of money to get started. potentially the most profitable of the 4)

If you go to the big companies like UPS, Fed Ex, USPS, DHL, etc, a person with 5-10 experience are making 100k easily
If you go to a smaller local company, overtime is where they make their money. Most truckers who have 2-3 years experience are making at least 70K
Even over the road. The money isn't bad, can make at least 65K when you drive all over the country. The money is in Dedicated routes, which is for example NY to Ohio, or Albuquerque to Los Angeles. I know many friends on Dedicated routes making 80 to 90k easily

The truckers you probably saw are the ones with less than a year experience, or going over the road with a company that is cheating them, or doing a local route delivering Snapple or some shyt

the thing is if you have a business and you still busting your ass after a decade or two, u just got a glorified job......u did it wrong....you're suppose to bust your ass for 10 years so u don't have to do mediocre work for 40....its worth it if you know what you are doing

Alot of these cats preaching not working are either rich or well off or leaches. You want security and money in your pocket get a job. Just try to get a job that pays well or one you enjoy doing.

nothing is wrong with having a job, the point is...u should use ur job to create a business OR if u like ur job, thats cool but have a second income stream
