i’m fascinated by the rapid changes taking place. i think we are truly on the verge of a revolutionary shift in how our world looks.

This makes me think of something I can’t quite figure out how to articulate yet. Basically time is no longer what it used to be. It’s progressing in an exponential manner to the point where how we as humans perceive a month will be how we used to perceive a year

Outsourcing about to takeover :snoop:

The language issue was the biggest hurdle prior.

2-3 billion remote workers from Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, etc. about to suddenly be the competition if it can translate them in real-time efficiently.

They need to get on the same "fukk you, pay me" wave Americans are on. I know some of them foreign cats are on that shyt because they're not going to go all-in and not be compensated, but this does heavily impact the global market.

As someone who loves languages this rubs me the wrong way. We're really gonna end up in a world where people don't bother learning/being interested in other languages at all. Can't stop "progress" I guess.
People don't bother learning other languages as is:mjlol:

What's likely to happen is the same people that love languages will still love them and the majority will do what they've always done

Think about it like this. There have always been people that are good at math, some even have a passion for it. When calculators were invented the natural assumption was that the good at math people would be obsolete but the good at math people run the world:mjlol:

Learning language's won't die anymore than learning math will. And the benefits of learning language's won't die either

@mbewane , I don't think language learning will be affected. At least not yet.

Most people learn a new language in order to directly interact with people in a different culture. They don't do it in order to consume their media, which is the value of this tech. So I think you will still have a bunch of people learning Mandarin because they want to do business on the Shanghai river bund, or learning Spanish because they want to serenade an Argentinian beauty. Or any other number of physical reasons.

So The caveat here is that this tech isn't useful for real time translation when interacting with a person. It's too clunky. But I do think it will get there. I'm envisioning something along the lines of integrating elon's neuralink with these AI language models. Imagine a future where you could meet a Vietnamese person or a Igbo person, and immediately have your thoughts translated into their language and broadcast them out loud from your phone speaker, as the other person does the same thing.

Such a thing would be a seamless social interaction that would abolish language learning for all but the most studious of language scholars.

I really want young black kids to jump on this A.I shyt and learn it front to back. I see a lot of Indians in Tech but I think our folks could do amazing things with our natural innovation. Have any of you coli tech bruhs or ladies started any programs in your areas to teach black kids this stuff, if so that would be amazing.
Im afraid it’s more than that. they need to be motivated. If we can drill it into their minds that innovation is really the greatest achievement, things would change fast for the black race. The vast majority of black families teach their kids to do well in school. Get an education. But I assure you very few make it a point to emphasize the power of innovation. Creativity.

Don't let the Passport Bros find this.
integrate this technology into airpod speakers/microphones and suddenly the entire planet can speak to one another, real life Babbel fish

the fukkery would be :banderas: people would start moving all over the country, finally being able to get jobs in areas they like more than their home country

mixed children numbers would skyrocket :hubie: actually being able to spit your game properly overseas >>>
