yep and all these new hiphop/rnb videos are too choreography based, i know MJ probably pioneered that in videos but i think its effected new dancers.

i dont think chris brown is a good dancer he is too robotic and counting steps, its meant to look like you are having a good time.

ie. bobby brown, kid and play, MJ, and the other boogaloo legends.

i know this is old footage but vanilla ice was probably the last breed of good dancers, with rhythm.

at least some of these asians had decent top rocks and six steps. a lot of these events just be dudes going straight into power moves, but its been like that for almost 20 yrs

and those are breking competitions, not poppin or boogaloo competitions. so you not gonna see that in these vids.

the boy lucas and the guy in the green sweats at the 7.00min mark were great.

you cant find modern popping or boogaloo or even dancing that is not all this aerobics moves that they are doing today.

i like the feel good vibes of good dancing, not the chore type dances though.

i have a great respect for boogaloo shrimp he is so natural with it, and breakin 1 and 2 are among my fav movies.

in Asia is where all these dance tournaments take place and i am telling you, some of it is really low quality dancing lol.

i know a lot of non afro-carribean background people participating in these dances and tournaments.

in asia and often in europe too, they hold events but its far from the original spirit of dancing and to make moves look good.

you put me on with Les Twins i am running through their youtube now, i like they dance to make the moves look good not just skillful. nice blend.

i cant locate RN but Missy is a dope reference, especially when she is just bopping and free-styling moves.

Jeff Daniels is an old school dancer you might like, an originator to a lot of moves. ie. the moonwalk and robot.

Yes I think Beyonce had the twins on tour with her. I love their charm and fluidity, the way they engage with eachother and the audience. If I grew up stateside I would have been at every Missy Elliot audition I could get to. And you put me on 2 the elder, respect. Can watch good dancing for hours

because you mention Missy she used to put a lot of detail into her "attire/style" is that important now-a-days in the dancing world?

because back in the day it was always a thing even crews had matching wears, and artists like TLC had their own style and were one of the best dancers.



they have tremendous support, they don't need to do those stages anymore i see in the tournaments on youtube. glad beyonce spotted some good talent lol.
