Money is only a tool. Like hammers or screwdrivers. You never hear anyone say their all about the screwdrivers, i want all the screwdrivers, i got so much screwdrivers. All you need is enough to build with. So being "all about the money" is nonsense, money has no value until you do something with it.

If they truly are "all about the money" they wouldn't spend it on depreciating liabilities (shoes, clothes, cars, etc). So they dont really mean that, they really mean "all about spending the money". They want the image of money in material goods but not the power of money in assets and capital.

Don't overlook the fact that this mentality has been perpetuated by multinational corporations, who have spent billions on marketing to convince the people to be consumers. Of course the message they promote is not the way, but they are the ones who are actually all about the money.

:salute:

People just want to make a lot of money so they can spend it on expensive shyt. Not to invest in and make it grow. They playing the game backwards. I mean, Imagine me wasting 40k of my disposable money I saved up over the last 18 months on a car that will have problems in just a few short years down the line? I rather use that money and flip it on shyt that I can use.

Not having kids breh.
And if I do...they'll be good. My fiance and I are 27 and already pulling in over 100k combined. I'll probably reach close to 100k on my own one day so my kids will be straight but I'm just saying. It's not all about the money

Not really. Because like I said before, if money is your main priority in life, chances are, you'll never be satisfied no matter how much you have.
They maybe true but most people are cool with having enough to take care of family nicely and some disposable money to do the stuff they want.

Who said you have to back stab somebody to get money? :what:
Yeah to keep it funky when I hear people I know they usually destined to be nothing more than 9to5 cats and spread this IMO silly message to future generations.

This. THIS!

People who are greedy live beyond what they make. Some people talk about "I gotta pay bills" when their bills consist of paying for luxury cars, expensive meals every night, oversized houses in areas where property taxes are outta control, high-end European brands that are even more than the luxury car payments, and the like. A lotta people live beyond their means because they tryna stunt and get props for being false.
Yeah you these people spend their money on nothing but junk while I'm smarty pants brother are just as annoying IMO. You could also spin that last sentence to say "A lot of people live below their means because they don't have the money to do differently even if they wanted to so they cover it up under being "frugal"" Stuff can both ways so stop that.

Bold isn't true at all damn near everybody spends their money on something material they don't need. Also fukk do you cats get this everybody just wants material goods but not money in assets and capital? Its like y'all hang around nothing but low budget cats and extrapolate that to the whole damn world. I'm pretty sure you ask most people on here they will want material things of course but also assets and capital too.

I struck a nerve. :sas1:

People live beyond their means in capitalism and trying to impress others. Its fact. No matter how much money some people make, its never enough. They always want to 1-up the next man in their never ending quest for being #1.

Even down to the old lady buying scratch offs, you think she's going to put any money she wins in a 401k???

I disagree so you struck a nerve ok if that logic makes you feel better but it won't help your sorry ass life views. Hope thinking you struck a nerve online is not the highlight of your existence because if so might as well off yourself.

:mjlol:So only hood nikkas are out here tryna ball? You really gonna act like suburb nikkas aint living check to check with no assets either? Black people as a whole have a negative savings rate, we spend $1.02 for every dollar we make, and our money doesn't even circulate in our community once before going right out. Like I said before - money is a tool, and too many black people waste it instead of build with it.

That's not saying much but I still disagree and don't think that's all its about. Like I said some of you dudes always trying to act like they so above it for reasons I don't know. :dwillhuh:I don't understand what your trying to say. But if your encouraging black people to continue spending more of our discretionary income on commercial products I strongly disagree.

If you don't understand what I'm trying to say then you don't understand yourself :dwillhuh:. I encourage people to do what they feel as long as they take care of their business first whatever that may be :yeshrug:.

y'all turning the motto into the materialism prospects. how about you just stick with your original point, money is a tool. a valuable tool that's vital in providing a better lifestyle and building stable communities. continuing your screw driver and house analogy, i'd like to see you build or maintain your metaphorical house w/o access to any hammers or screwdrivers
