I read somewhere that part of that scam was used to fool retailers that price match to sell items for cheaper by presenting the fake pages as proof that said person can get it cheaper. Anyone tried this?

IE go to Wal-Mart and find a pair of headphones that they sell for say $60 then find a fake store on Amazon that is selling the same headphones for say $20. Since Wal-Mart will price match even online sellers you get it for $20 and they are never the wiser, at least in theory.

Was it really worth the headache and hassle to go thru all this :gucci:

Y'all must like doing shyt like going to the DMV.....I hate headaches like this

To be honest I can't imagine this being much of a headache

Most of it is automated

The reason I became suspicious of the store was because they seemed to have the most popular item in a bunch of random categories for sale and what are the chances of that.

Couldn't figure out what their scheme was but didn't want to take the risk

Yes it still is a headache....Clearly EVERYONE knew they weren't getting nothing. I mean come on people are trying to get their refund and are sending multiple emails trying to finesse a giftcard. Like really; shyt wasn't worth the unnecessary hassle for a freaking crock pot :picard:

THERE WAS NO HEADACHE AT ALL LOL

I KNEW IT WAS FAKE WHEN I PLACED AN ORDER, BUT I KNOW AMAZON WONT LET A CUSTOMER LOSE MONEY OVER A FAKE SELLER

I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO CALL OR DO ANYTHING, I JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM THEM THAT SAID THE ORDER WAS BEING CANCELLED AND MY CARD WOULDNT BE CHARGED

THEN I WENT ONLINE, AND IN LITERALLY 2 MINUTES OF AMAZON CHAT, I FINESSED EM OUT A 10 DOLLAR CREDIT ON MY ACCOUNT (THEY INITIALLY OFFERED 5)

ILL TAKE FREE MONEY ALL DAMN DAY THO

Yeah for select online stores and Amazon is one of them. When I first heard of the scam it was reported some people got away with buying Playstations listed at $400 for somewhere around $100 using this method so it has apparently happened.
