2nd questions why does apple still show the symbol and that beats by dre statement as being by by Dr. Dre when he sold the company to apple in 2014.

Its like apple made sure to place the "Beats by Dr. Dre" comment in the commercial in case there was blow back so folks would focus on doctor dre and not the owner who is apple.

Because “Beats By Dre” is a brand; one that they think has value in standing on its own. This isn’t uncommon in business and is not about making Dre the face of their fukkery
