As someone born in the early 80's I can say it was a dope time just from my elementary school perspective, but I know it had to have been something to live the 70's & 80's as a teen/20/30 year old. They got to see hip-hop literally grow from nothing to phenomenon. They were partying hard too, but without as much foolishness, thottery or violence that comes with clubs so often now. Studio 54 looked lit

Getting to see prime MJ & Prince in shows :whew: Imagine being there when Off The Wall, Thriller, and Purple Rain dropped :blessed:

Real meat in Big Macs, I vaguely remember that

Showtime Lakers, Michael Jordan from a pup to a boss, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson

:salute:To the ones that were fully able to experience the 70's, 80's, & 90's...2000's and 2010's have been whatever

the 80's were pretty violent. people got shot over shoes and coats regularly

but...to hear the vapors, or potholes in my lawn, or its funky enough for the first time...yea yall should be envious...
I'm talking shows and partying. Oh I know 80's were violent on some street ish, especially the crack era. And it spread over to the Raising Hell tour and maybe some other events involving hip-hop unfortunately....But i doubt there were too many shoot outs and such at music shows in 70's in 80's like we've seen in recent years
I may be wrong, cuz like I said i was a kid. My parents and other older heads talk about many parties and events when they were young and no I don't get the impression that nikkas and chicks were as consistently ignorant back then as many are now ::yeshrug:
