FD has a feminist / ultra-liberal slant which covers his otherwise good ideas in a thin veneer of bullshyt.
Underneath this guy's emotional analysis/whole self analysis there's probably some bell hooks in there. If you've been around this stuff, read the same books, run in the same circles - feminist/"ultra-liberal" stuff is not far away.
According to them, and no I'm not gonna pull out any citations, lot of the problem with "patriarchy" is the man's (the male's) conception of himself, and his rejection of emotions and feelings, for reasoning and logic. (emotions/feelings are coded as good and positive, and female, without having to say it explicitly)
With the emotional self/psychology angle - he's pushing what that crazy black psychologist was pushing. That Black men need therapy. (probably true, but because everyone needs "therapy" - and that's the result of modernity, technology, and the march of time)
He's just better at saying what he wants to say without needlessly infuriating his audience.
And its not that these things are bad - they're just often weaponized against Black Men who don't hold the reins of power.
To add insult to injury, Black men are often chastised and punished for adopting more "progressive" mindsets.
I'm old. I've heard these guys before. He's just one IG/TikTok away (I've listened to 5 vids so far) from taking something directly from "Corn Bread Tube"s playbook.
