most peoples "legacy" isnt worth shyt :yeshrug: you didnt change the world, and your kids are incredibly unimportant in the grand scheme of things

never understood trying to shame ordinary people for not leaving a legacy :heh:

It's a subconscious mechanism to avoid facing their own existential despair.

fukk are you talking about? I didn't shame anyone & I clearly said in another post it's just our different beliefs.

I don't give a fukk about changing the world or the "grand scheme" of things. I believe in "moments" & I've changed lives on a personal level, be insignificant all you want, I won't.

I'm an ordinary person, loved by many people. fukk the cosmos & the "grand scheme" keep being worthless my guy. I'll be important to my loved ones.

Mane I feel what I feel because of everything I learned. Ya dig?

This aint a result of a breakup or nothin. I was coo until I learned sum shyt. Thas all it is.

I tried to break what I mean down to yall as clearly as possible: tha human brain is the prison of tha mind (it seperates tha conscious & subconscious). Tha body is tha prison of tha soul, as it in conjuction with tha brain give you your senses which bind you to this world and make you believe physical = real/fact. That...is tha best way I can put it.

Aint no therapist for that. My soul is my therapist. My attitude will be rectified once I start to overcome negative habits such as walking off a job.

I feel you. I didn't think it was relationship-related, just sharing my experience of why I personally started seeing a therapist.

Therapy is good for many challenging things you encounter, not just with breakups. Overcoming negative habits is a big part of therapy.

Let me put it like this: I do believe in self-education. I also believe that we can rob ourselves of knowledge because we can't really understand everything without having an outside perspective.

Example: One sense that you have physically is your kinesthetic sense (we have a few more senses than five), which is your body's sense of its position in relation to itself.

(It's kind of hard to describe, but an example of this sense is the ability to sit in a quiet, dark room, close your eyes, and put your finger on your nose without fumbling for it, even if you're in an odd body position. Which of your five senses told you where your nose is, or where exactly to place your finger?)

The physical kinesthetic sense comes naturally, but having a mental kinesthetic sense--understanding our own thoughts in relation to themselves--takes time and practice to develop. That's where having someone to talk to comes in. You need someone who can correctly identify the problems you have in perceiving your own thoughts.

I really don't know if that made any sense, but that's the best way I can try to describe what I'm trying to say.

Either way, I hope you find the help you need. :wakandasalute:

Aw nah I didnt take it that way at all. I just kinda figured most would assume that was tha case wit me.

A couple years ago I wanted a therapist. Then my dad was like "You dont need that shyt...you can heal yourself" and ever since he said that...it worked wonders.

These days...I think: "What tha fukk can someone else teach me about my own mind?"

You brought up a very good point, however. It is important to have your thoughts observed every now and then. Thats why I occasionally post mine or whatever medium to make sure Im on tha right track.

We have several more senses, brother. I think up to 12 total if not even more. Read about those a while ago so my memory is shotty on that one. When researching shyt like that, I take what applies to -me- an go.

I greatly appreciate your words and knowledge. This right here, our entire exchange, is what I'm talmbout. I want to be surrounded by people with this knowledge mane...

Lil conversations like these serve as an "upgrade" to my mind if you will, like a new computer component.

You have to be into metaphysics, right?

Yeah, you're right, I've heard anywhere from 8-14 depending on what you consider a sense.

I'm into metaphysics to a point; there's helpful things to learn but there's also a lot of bullsh*t.

I'm glad that my words were in some way helpful. Much love. :wakandasalute:

I got in through my mother. She is in Local 63, Marine Clerks Union as a Supercargo/Yard Planner. Back then, she was a Class B Longshoreman when she gave me an application.

I was truly blessed. Since you know about my industry, then you know that I gotta job for life or until the ports go fully automated which is in the works now. I am hoping that we all get retrained to operate the automated machinery should we go fully automated, but it is up to the membership to maintain jurisdiction.

As for you getting in, I think your best bet is to know someone or have a relative that is in. Right now, they aren't taking any casual workers from the outside except from the list they generated a couple of years ago. It is a generational type gig. You gotta be there at the right time or else you will be passed out. There may be another way to get in, but I think that back door way is sewed up!

Honestly, I am not supposed to be saying this shyt on here, but I am relatively anonymous on here and I won't go into further detail, but yeah, nepotism is what got me in, like most people I know.
