This is why I cringe when I hear dumb nikkas talk down on the civil rights movement and paint them as cowards.
They took the nonviolent approach because they understood that the world was watching Amerikkka and that if they took an openly violent approach, they’d be painted as terrorists.
While this was likely done disingenuously, other countries saw what was happening in the US to black people and started to call Uncle Sam out on his hypocrisy.
Look up “And in your country you’re lynching negroes” and read books like “We Will Shoot Back”.
We had some real chess players advocating for us and dumb nikkas talk down on them
