what cleveland like doe? all i think of when i hear cleveland is Drew Carey and Uncle Charles....i miss him ya'll

the cost of living in Cali though

Brag about the weather in Cleveland brehs![]()
i dunno breh. people always say that. maybe its because i've lived in CA pretty much my whole life, but the cost of living doesnt feel that high. you also have to remember we make more money for doing the same job which offsets the cost of living.
i think one of the issues is alot of people that live in california expect to afford a lot more amenities. we spend ALOT more money on services and products to make us more attractive. i also think we should be able to own more possessions. everyone i know pretty much got their first car when they were 16. i think we inflict alot of these higher living costs on ourselves.
i will say it kinda bothers me that home ownership is pretty much a pipe dream for me unless i get married. theres no way i can save up enough for a down payment, plus make mortgage off single income even though i make a middle-class salary.
thats why hell of a lot of people are moving out?
its expensive as fukk unless u still live with your old folks
what make u say that? every county in southern california has had positive population growth decade over decade for the past 50 years. riverside, and san bernardino are 2 of the fastest growing (heavily populated) counties in the country. besides cities in texas, you cant say that for any other major city/county in the US.
I believe places like NYC and LA have a positive population growth of college students/fresh college grades/and mid 20 yuppies looking to chase their dream, be adventurous etc.... but I would be willing to bet 30 somethings are leaving in droves. Only because they want to be able to buy houses, put their kids in great school, have a house with a yard, get away from urban problems etc. Thats why you see so many transplants from these cities everywhere...Florida is basically NY with palm trees everyone seems to be from nyc or a generation removed...
Even here in Philly we are getting an influx of new yorks because housing is so damn cheap, what you get for a 1 bedroom there you can get a pretty dope house with a yard here
You brought up Florida having a huge NY transplant population. Can you think of any other city/state in America that has a huge LA transplant population? There is none...cause people dont usually move out of LA. Or if they do, they move to another part of southern california.
Truth is when people move to California, they tend to stay here. And there are MUCH more people moving here than moving out of here. Just check the stats. All the major cities in Southern California grow every single year. No other major city can say that, besides cities in Texas. New York had massive amounts of people moving OUT in the 70s and 80s. Since then, the population has been steady. NYC had 8 million people living there in 1950, and have 8 million people living there today. Philly had TONS of people moving out of all the time. I'm pretty sure that city has consistenly had negative population growth over the past 100 years. I'm not sure they have more people in Philadelphia today than they had in 1914. Chicago...same shyt.
I'd rather be broke living in a cardboard box on the streets in Cali than have a house in Cleveland
