I’ll give Kevin Samuels credit on this one. When you are married it’s easier to get promoted and keep jobs. Not for women unfortunately if they have children. Because they are viewed as a liability unfortunately. Which isn’t fair. But for men it Might sound dumb. But white folks in blue collar jobs really look at you differently when you have a family. They favor you in promotions over married men because they feel like you value the job better. I’m speaking on experience. With that said of course if you single and got a good job and don’t want to get married I respect it. But It’s not the government that does not provide incentives though. There are a lot of if you know what to look for. Scholarships for children. Bigger Tax returns on just having a dependent in itself being a wife. . They have a lot further to go. A lot. But as a married man I can’t think of many financial or legal disadvantages to having children or being married. Unless you get divorced. The disadvantage is the actual cost of a family. Been married 9 years now. Groceries, tuition and all that. Which is why I don’t bash single people. Because the cost of living is mad expensive. But it’s a capitalistic country.

You can have a family and not be married.

Those benefits are available to "Single" couples as well.

Being married, as I showed above, an average couple would not be able to get many government benefits which are still helpful for regular people.

If you could save $10K a year on daycare and food, when your HH income is $60K. That's great. Unfortunately, if you're married you don't get that.

Marriage was the best thing that happened to me and anybody who puts finances over everything else has missed the whole point to life.

The fact almost every thread on the coli everyday is about women/marriage issues shows how much ya'll really want the thing ya'll claim to hate, but are either afraid to try or have fell into the trap of believing the fear constantly being spread on these subjects. You don't talk about stuff you don't care about. Be followers brehs.

It's a lot of people who speak highly of marriage but a lot of us would rather read and dap the talking points that support where your heart is at and use it as validation for what you CHOOSE to believe.

It's only two options and two only -- either you're with the wrong woman or you're not the right man that you think you are. All these women in the world and nikkas basing all of life around the two raggedy bytches they been with who wasn't shyt -- and the nikkas probably weren't shyt themselves at the time either if they were honest. That's lame nikka mentality.

This country ain't disincentivizing marriage more than any other thing else and even if it is life is what you make it. I'll take struggling with a women that have my back everyday over an extra 10K or whatever that I won't even be able to account for at the end of the year.

Coli should have the age of everyone next to their name. That would reveal a lot.

You don't have to pick one over the other. You can have her AND the 10k without being officially married.

Point is, once you're married, if you're both working you won't qualify for the $10k a year.

I am aware that child benefits aren’t exclusive to married couples. And I mentioned it’s the cost of living that’s very high. But a partner/ wife is also a dependent that you can claim for multiple forms of government assistance without children. And the most important thing being job lateral ability. I just feel like it’s a much faster ascension to where you want to be promotion wise. It’s a reason most ceos and higher management are always married men. If that’s your experience cool. But there are a lot of available government incentives for simply having a dependent period . Doesn’t have to be a child. Cost of living is a bytch. But that’s why I said there is alot further to go. But again I don’t judge nobody who just want to raise kids with a woman or don’t want a fam at all

Ain't never seen a divorce I want to imitate.

Marry a woman when you are emotionally comfortable writing a check for her to go away. NOT A DAY SOONER.

I guarantee no CEO is ever going to look up your marriage license. Just buy a ring and call her your wife. HR has never asked me for proof of marriage.

Also, you cannot generally claim a married person as a dependent if they file a joint return with their spouse.

Besides, I'm really talking about households with both individuals working. Those are the people getting squeezed in the middle with no government assistance.
