This current Orton run has to be one of worst big time Vet runs in years.

Of course he hasn't had a great match in a long ass time.
He's faced Jinder or Bray wyatt for at least 6 months or so now.
And when hes on SD hes facing guys like Erik Rowan or English.

I was there for that AJ vs Orton match so I might have a different opinion because I enjoyed it.
I understand when he given a 3 star match caliber wrestler to work with. I understand it takes two to tango, but I feel Orton should be better is all and be basically elite. Show that in his matches that he carry limited wrestler or limit time to the performance you expect. I just see a lot of meddling and lower his talent to his opposition level and putting on unejoyable 2** matches. Hen Orton is on his A game... He is very enjoyable to watch, but when he is off and unmotivated. It's like watching two Jinders wrestling each other.

You know what they need to do. Bring Orton down to the tag team division. Maybe with Russv. Both are damaged goods and could use time away from the single division. Orton is lowkey one of the best tag team workers in the business.

IMO instead of being champ and facing guys like Jinder. He should be putting over talent in feuds with Styles, Naka, Sami, and KO. Would be a totally different story.

Feels like a middle finger to management, he's been wanting to be heel but they keep forcing this face run

So he's giving them the bare minimum effort

Orton had that year off so he's probably retired mentally. Edge was awful at the end too, and this is comparable

Orton put in no effort against AJ right before WM on a show that's usually the most watched sd of the year. That should have been enough to let you know he didn't give a shyt about his job anymore. Even mid 2000s Kevin Nash put in effort against AJ.

Lmaooo at the backing Orton is getting in here and trying to use the "b b b but if he was an indie guy" card. Orton has been sucking feuds dry for years. Jinder has been cutting the same promos for a month cause Orton is a damn paper plate worth of charisma. He's been phoning it in for years but "d d don't blame Orton" :mjlol:

Orton & Bray being a tag team solved a lot of problems. Should've kept that going longer than a month.

orton is done. too old to be the effortlessly smooth in the ring as he once was. never had much of a personality so he cant cost on that like cena, show, henry, kane, goldust, and truth or any other vets currently still working. hel still go down as top 20 of all time but one more injury and its over

It's concerning when you have Orton phoning it in at age 37.

Chris Jericho reinvented himself at age 37 with the suit gimmick, AJ Styles grew his hair out and turned into a loner type tweeter at age 35. The Rock turned into Hollywood Rock at age 30!.

We can go back longer than that, Hogan was 42 when he turned heel, Bret Hart was 39 when he started snapping.

Meanwhile, here's a guy in Randy Orton who has made no effort in trying to improve as a character and as a wrestler. At this point, he might as well consider retirement.
