The rumor was back then that the plane triggered one of those sensors to those intercept missles from the navy ships or those missle defense systems that they have scattered all over america and that shyt blew up. There was this huge talk about them covering it up to which why that shyt was so controversial and there was evidence to if i believe that it was a missle. But they tried to say it was a shytty wiring in one of the engines. Thats why im scared to fly in or out of kennedy even to this day. That new york bay/jamaica bay has a lot of shyt going on and people dont even pay attention or care.

I remember this shyt when it happened too. Even watching the memorial service on the beach on channel 2 with my mom during the afternoon or morning. That shyt was huge.
But yeah, the missle rumor was and still going strong to this day.

I know the area well. There is a national guard base there as well. They say it was an accidental shoot down from a navy destroyer or they really wanted someone on board dead and an explosive was planted. I believe it was an accidental shooting from the navy. A couple of fisherman and beach goers say they saw a rocket going up from the sea tracking the plane.

Nah that was the plane that the tail fell off going to Dominican Republic. Took off from LGA and fell into Jamaica.
Yep.. youre talking about that other plane crash i believe 20 years ago right in belle harbor or far roc right? I think both planes were traveling on the same route too but the one that crashed in queens crashed right when it was landing or after it took off. I had a nightmare related to that shyt back then too right after 911.
Damn it’s been that long I remember this, Also I remember the story about a famous tennis player I can’t remember who but he was scheduled to be on the flight but he somehow missed it, One lucky motherfukker.
Funny thing is that before that, my mom booked a flight for us to go to jamaica to see our fam for august of that year and shyt then that happened. 
i was scared as fukk. Luckily we flew out of newark.
But its funny how folks forget about controversies like these and wonder why we have people such as myself questioning the government and conspiracy theories and shyt. They did the same "congressional commission" with the who done it, challenging the missle thing and etc. Then after that, they just stopped showing coverage and settled with the engine failure bs.
And in the 90s, they actually aired out a lot of info too that you cant even search on google or the cops will show up now.
