bill simmons may be a knowledgable historian and all that but you can say that about alot of people. what seperates him from them? he has no business on a halftime or pregame show. nobody takes his analysis seriously and he never says anything of worth, simply because he cant.

if espn wants him on tv so badly, they should hook him up with a show like nba-tv did with those freaks on "the starters". apparently, they had an internet following as well. if espn wants to milk simmons' internet following, then hook him up with his own show like "the starters". people who are into that type of chit will support & enjoy it.

this bill simmons clown said that joakim noah won a playoff series by himself last year.

has he ever heard of nate robinson? if any one player won that series, it was nate.

Nate was making shots, but it was Noah's domination inside on both ends of the floor that was the biggest factor. He's right on that one.

ESPN is doing it the only way they can. If they tried to go the comedic route a)it wouldn't be as good as ITN anyway and b) people would just say they were jacking TNT's style. Best to go the super-analytical route.
