sage is just up there hosting anyway. they needed a point guard to just anchor the discussions and fall back. thats all she has to do. that and look pretty.

the show is at least semi-tolerable now, even tho you can still hear pin-drops.

The ABC show is better now than its been for the past several years, thank god they threw Wilbon in the bushes.
And Inside the NBA is also on fire. Shaq didnt seem to fit well at first but now they've brought it together since its not just he and Chuck going at each other constantly anymore. All their shyt has been hilarious this year, all the stuff with Webber and the race has been gold.

The chemistry and format is bad. It's better than last year ... but still way behind the TNT crew.
Sage has no standing/rep and can't keep the show inline. She also panders to Bill/Jalen.
Bill is knowledgeable, but comes off as a know-it-all and says outlandish shyt without being checked.
Jalen basically just co-signs or soft argues Bill and needs to stop singing.
Doug adds nothing and has no chemistry with the rest of the set.
Ernie works since he keeps the show moving and will call Barkley out when he goes out there.
Barkley is like Bill, but presents his point from experience. Also, when he says wild shyt, Kenny & the rest will call him out.
Kenny is the resident know-it-all, but it works as the anti-Barkley.
Shaq is just there for comedic relief.
They basically need a knowledgeable host, a "back in the day" analyst, and a modern day analytics "know it all" guy.
They're basically married to Bill Simmons. I'd pair him with Max Kellerman as the host who knows hoops, but can move the show along & call people out. In a perfect world, they would steal C-Webb from TNT, but we know that'll never happen for monetary and Jalen reasons.
Simmons/C-Webb/Kellerman would be a good core to start with.
