UM heads seem to want a cookie for being just-above middling at things...jacks of many trades but masters of none.
Football?: Think of themselves as Alabama or USC despite not being in shyt for a minute; just now start to be competitive again
Academics?: UVA is the better public ivy. UT offers the better academics / athletics combo. So what's the claim here?

Mobile is great. Short drive to the beach or New Orleans. Great weather year round, good night life and since South Alabama has exploded its turning into more of a college town. Oh and its not all white ppl like Ann Arbor
