Every generation thinks the next generation is doomed. People who were getting high on LSD in the 60s thought the people on crack in the 80s were doomed. That same principle applies everywhere. Also every generation believed they were living in the last of days.

This is true. It speaks volumes to how self-centered and arrogant human beings can be. They can't possibly imagine a world that goes on without them after they die, so clearly they must be living in the final days, because it all comes down to them rather than people from the generations before them.
