No, they are not cooked. It's just a case of a skilled fighter fighting a less skilled fighter.
I've seen guys like 6ft get put down by guys like 5'5, it's not the norm they were just stronger, faster and used to fighting.
A couple years back at the boxing gym in Landover a sophomore in high school beat up a boy in his dad. Kid was getting picked up and Dad was upset . Dad used to run with a crew in Southeast off of southern ave and was in one of the state penitentiary. He was mad his son was getting minked up.
Dad tried to fight the kid and got the shyt beat out of him.
