I see it all the time, many are raised by single mothers who are selfish themselves and think something is owed to them, that energy or mindset carries to the child, boy or girl and they grow thinking they are owed something. (not bashing just speaking on stuff we tend to want to not say out loud) It was very rare to see such a thing in the mid 90s or late 90s, early 2000s,, you had your handful of spoiled kids in your class or school, and even those kids weren't arrogant or cocky about having a lot, in fact, some would try and hide it. Nowadays it's like someone has told kids under 18 and grown adults that their parents must/have to give them something. I blame some of it on schools and SM also. Media.
I say mothers because fathers will at times give a child what's needed, fathers are quick to say no, a man have a save mentality, a man with means that I'm speaking of. Women like to give their children things to pacify them, or not make them seem like the 'bad' parent. The shyt is deep rooted in our people's mind.
I remember my father told me, all I need to do is provide you with shelter, food, wisdom/knowledge and clothing, everything else is extra that you may receive.
The shyt is out of hand. Romeo is 30 plus and is clapping back at his dad, like my boy, you haven't started your own thing?? you haven't developed some type of your own business?
Most going against may have not been in a position to where you're around a motherfuker that things you owe them something,
Romeo you're not 12 my boy, get a job shyt is sad man. I see it a lot in the women I talk to, they move as if someone owe them or they are supposed to have to give you, ?? Like, wtf is up with this type of mindset.
Men are the same way, begging/borrowing, which makes me think that they were raised with 1 parent in the house. Somebody owes them. smh, My boy stop pouting.
