I can see a future where they create laws mandating these devices be in your home recording all your conversations for “safety” purposes to fight and prevent crime.

I’ve left too many comments on this thread already but these devices are just a closer step to violating and erasing privacy laws.

Won’t be long until they pass laws mandating that everyone has this in their home.. either that or they install it in your home without telling you.

We’ve already seen this with smart phones and not a single major company has publicly admitted that these devices are secretly listening to you.

The more data you have on someone the more you can control them, predict their behavior etc.

I set alarms, ask for the time, get weather, doubles as a bluetooth speaker.
I dont like to sleep with my phone next to me so a voice alarm works well. And the speaker is linked with my Spotify so its ez pz

I got a brand new one a couple of months ago from buying Spotify premium also.

I love it, it's pretty great and I'm not one of those overly "privacy concerned" freaks, I like my smartphone and google devices to "know" me and what my preferences, recommendations, etc.

Plus it gives me more of an experience. I'm kinda tech-savvy where I like to explore more about my phone/devices and it's specifications.
