Yeah i know anlo ewe and ga's with ashanti first or middle names tbh i dont even think i know who is what outside of them saying it or referring to nii, naa.
yeah I'm part ga myslelf through my maternal grandmother.
I have relatives that part ewe as well
but my fam is from the eastern region so there's a little bit more intermingling than say Kumasi or cape coast which are overwhelmingly Ashanti and Fante respectively.

I love Ghana, it's the country in Africa I have the most experience with, but they do some strange stuff sometimes. I remember an editorial in a Ghanian newspaper (years ago) asking why Ghana didn't put more African heroes on their stamps, they had one special edition with Elvis Presley though

It's nuts. Go to a Black neighborhood in Europe or to Africa and there are mad skin lightening cremes in their drug stores/beauty supply stores. It is sickening. Thank God for Malcolm X and others or we would still be in that crap.
