This is why pure unadulterated capitalism sucks. It has not obligation to the greater social good, and it elects and funds people who only want to make money, by any means necessary. Asking politicians who were put in their seats by this system for accountability is ridiculous and useless.
If we had a true third party that was a workers party. Some of this shyt could be solved.

If we had a young politician he wouldn’t be rubbing shoulders with these war monger nation and doing favors for “relief aid”.
That isn't true. It's the system that puts politicians in the positions they are in. For example, they have to raise money just to run for office. Once elected, they have to raise additional money to give to their party (dues). The cycle continues if they seek re-election. Each entity donating these funds are not for humanitarian reasons.

Why didn't Biden, Clinton, Obama, and Pelosi push against it?

Politicians on both sides of the Isle have either encouraged or failed to curb tax breaks. They are all cronies for the corporations and are fukking over everyone that isn't a boomer

I know all of this shyt but this graphic is stirring up anger on social media. As it should

First of all Congress, specifically the House has taxing and spending powers. The Democrats have been trying to end corporate and individual tax breaks since before any of us were even born. One trick was the AMT (alternative minimum tax). The problem is that stupid Americans still believe in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny who don't or can't understand that everything has to eventually be paid for. So dumbass politicians just borrow more money instead of imposing a fair share taxing system to pay down the debt.

I mean there are things that could be done to curtail this.

But “the call is coming from inside the house”

The government is basically subsidizing capitalism and law makers profit in donations and insider trading.

The thread itself is about taxes. I answered your comment about debt with that list. The two aren't mutually exclusive

debt is very manageable, as long as everyone is paying their taxes. Thats why I say its a non issue

Flat tax can fix all of this plus get rid of the IRS. Herman Cain was pushing it but got moved out the paint.
:beli:
Cap tax collection at 5T and cap our expenditures at 5T for 20 years. Make it balanced every year. That’s not hard.
:manny:
Why has the military grown when we shut down a whole area of operation? America loves carrying a big stick to keep the USD in power.
:dame:
Once them oil boys and China/Russia/Iran create a new standard, USA will make a move on them to protect their interests.
:ohhh:
We are literal slaves to the corporations/ politicians/USD.

This is obviously a tax policy problem. Look at how low the corporate tax revenue is. Historically, Corporations would pay workers more with their profits along with reinvestment and new hires. Today, they just buy back their own stock. Add in the fact that corporate leaders are primarily paid in stock, you now have large amounts of untaxable revenue for the top 10%. Which explains why the richest Americans pay stupidly low tax rates. See it HERE for proof.
