People been traveling, it’s just that media focused on important things before the internet. Now fans, specially those that only watch basketball to catch travels and act like it’s happening in every possession, can capture every single one and hope it goes viral. Cause there’s a whole demographic on the internet that care more about there being a travel in a game than who won. As if it’s a last second td pass interference in an nfl game

NBA has been the same to me most of my life----->I start watching when football season ends. There have been some years that were more exciting than others and I was tuned in before football ended, but it's been awhile since I was on that.

I love this new TV deal. They wiped out the entire TMZball industry. You know you’re doing something right when ratings are up but nikkas are claiming the league is boring.
No more fake drama, GOAT debates, and hypothetical ducktales from retirees. Just pure hoops.

So maybe the difference is you, maybe your own imagination got changed with age
nostalgia is usually tied to where YOU were at in life at the time moreso than what was going on, at your funnest years in life you gonna think everything around that time was the best shyt , you could just be a little more jaded/pessimistic about the entertainment industry in general now
Completely glossed over just how much social media played a part in demystifying everything too, you barely knew shyt about players lives back in the day unless a journalist presented it to you, alot of their "coolness" was just you assuming it was like that.
now you got nikkas embarrassing themslves on the Internet with women exposals, goofy livestreams, podcasts, fans stalking them catch em slipping to make a viral clip, alot of older legends wouldn't have made it in this era, had way less discipline due to more privacy
Any generation with all of this goin on is gonna have a lower view of athletes/celebrities in general
