Yeah "Gish" came out before "nevermind."

If you're suggesting that "Gish" is a ripoff of nirvana's "bleach," you may actually be insane.

You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about hip hop ... But might be out of your lane here.

Sorry about the misnomer on the comparison I meant, my bloody valentine, breh.

Which is even more talks about smashing that even I don't know why people smash on them but still people say this.

You got it.
Anyway, everyone knows gish sounds like the Seattle scene, breh.
It has been known and has been known.
I know why as well, but it is not from copying like you would want me to say, do you know why, tho?

So, if you don't and don't come back with an answer and I have to treat you,....can you say you took the L?

:dead:.

This thread is worse than a bunch of 60 year old cacs discussing their favorite hiphop songs.

Never seen so many mediocre albums and artists being mentioned in any genre, while the greatest are being discussed. Not saying that Dookie it's one of them, it's Green Days only dope album. But greatest, lol.
Seriously, like I guess you wouldn't expect good taste in this kind of stuff on a hip hop forum but aside from some of the Radiohead stuff posted, so many horrible albums name dropped in this thread

The Lounge always surprises me though, a lot of people like cool stuff over there

I assume you mean because Corgan dated Courtney love. Hence the influence from what was happening in Seattle (as opposed to a Midwest punk noise-rock sound, as was happening in Chicago in the 80s).

And yes. There's a clear influence from My Bloody Valentine.

Here's the thing though. You just confused MBV with NIRVANA. so I don't know how you can take anything but an L. I don't keep score of stuff like that, but that was a pretty giant error.

I make errors from time to time, breh.
I also apologize about those errors.

Made an error sorry, been a while since I discussed this.
Not like it is many people to have these discussions with on rock like that anymore consistently.

I forgot more about these discussions than most have taken in or made input on.

Understood. Well I'm here, So any time you want to discuss such things ... I guess it's a little out of place in the booth, but whatever.

OP acting like there were no rock albums released before the 80s. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix

Grew out of a lot of the 90s rock I used to love.

Still fukks with Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and Tool

Weezer Pinkerton album was also low key ahead of its time and is strangely relevant in this internet weirdo age
