#1 They didn't show it where I grew up. When I was little I'd only see it when I'd visit the United States during summer breaks and would barely watch it because that's what my aunt was watching on Friday nights when she's be bored

#2 Once I realized it wasn't real I lost the desire to even watch it just because it was what was on.
Put is this way: last time I watched wrestling was probably in the 80s. I wasn't even a teenager yet

I'll admit I'm ashamed to say that i tend to assume people who are into wrestling are dumb with very low IQs. I know it's wrong for me to assume this and often check myself for it but my mind always seems to go there at first

Ive gamed forever and im 32 ... owned nearly every console

the past 5 years ive been more casual with it, focused on work and life instead.

Dog, I get on now and I cant take arguing with strangers seriously. Or if I have a kid on my team, and he's trash... I dont really care at all.
Thats my only gripe, I dont see how people in older ages are taking shyt super personal and competitive. It's a lose lose battle for someone like me
I'm usually just trying to play the game and have fun. We will bump into 3's on 2k and the other team will talk shyt, or one player on my team will incite shyt
and it just comes off super corny, its always been some loser shyt since like 2004... but at this point in my life, I couldnt even take someone serious if they were standing beside me.
Video games are not that serious at all. I try to avoid online interaction as much as possible because people get weird as fukk over gaming.

Breh I know MARRIED COUPLES in their 30s who BOTH game. A gaming console in their living room and one in the bedroom. I know plenty of female gamers. The only group of women I don't see game ass much are Black women. White, Latina or Asian hoes? I see them game ALOT lately. And no they aren't even the nerdy types at that.

I'm married with two kids. I dont play as much a I did when I was younger, but if I'm off, I'll be up till 3 AM playing games. I only ever get to play on weekends after the wife and baby are asleep at night but it's still my first choice for entertainment.

I work long hours and I'm busy throughout most of the week on weekdays, and then I'm at home being a family man, but when the house is asleep, I like to boot up the ps4 and escape reality for a few hours.


Some people go out, I have responsibilities so gaming is an easy hobby for me.

I dont even fukk with online for this reason. When I do, I'm never on the mic cause I'm tired of people. I only fukk with fighters online. Most games I play are single player since I can play at my own pace.

The video game industry is bigger than the movie industry and music industry combined.

This idea that gaming is only for losers is dead. This isnt some niche hobby for nerds like it was in the 80s. If you watch tv and or post on the coli all day, then you're doing the same shyt as gamers.

The quality of gaming has nosedived this generation.

It just hit me this coincided with gaming becoming "mainstream". Now it's all yearly installments, lootboxes, DLC locked on the disk, microtransactions, zero substance, focus on Online bullshyt, paid misinformation, shills, dumbing down for casuals, walking simulators, press F to pay respects, fans talking about sales to justify a game being good etc. etc.

Other than that I'm not talking to anyone. Apex Legends made it easy af not to have to converse with anybody online. And any other game I play now is just BF4, GOW, maybe COD and madden, and RPG's

And all these people saying "gaming is for losers" are most likely losers themselves. I keep in contact with close old friends by gaming, I stay my ass in the house instead of bars/stripclubs because of gaming, I keep my mind sharp because of gaming, etc..

No different from having hobbies like watching a TV show, reading books, watching movies, etc., or something...


And now, gamers even get paid... like MILLIONS and a lot of those people are over 30 as well winning tournaments and signing contracts with companies to represent their products, platforms, etc.

shyt, if you have a personality, skills, and free time you could game and get side money just by having people subscribe to you.

No offense to anyone but if you think games are for younger people kids....you're probably and out of touch.

Games ain't been for younger people since the PS2. Sony gambled the future of their company on DVDs catching on....and then did it again with the PS3 and Blu-Rays.

Multi-billion dollar companies aren't taking these kinds of risks for children. Since the PS2 the Playstation line was marketed as an addition to your home theater experience. Same goes for the PS5, which will probably be like $450-$500. You cats gotta be completely oblivious to audio/video trends and/or technology in general to think this shyt is for kids or even teens.

The sole company still interested in a younger audience is Nintendo....and they flourish because that market is wide open. Sony and Microsoft don't make much effort to appeal to that demographic.
